The Missouri State field hockey team lost Friday afternoon to Saint Louis University 1-0 at Plaster Field. The loss drops the Bears to 0-7 on the season while Saint Louis improves to 2-5. Saint Louis also defeated the Bears on Aug. 28, in St. Louis 1-0.
The only goal in the game came at 55:55 off a pass from Alex Weber to Emily Kassab, who pushed the ball just out of the reach of Bears' goalkeeper Kim Kinsella.
The Bears were in control of the ball most of the game, out-shooting (15-3) and receiving more penalty corners (10-5) than Saint Louis.
The Bears play again on Sun. Sept. 16 at noon against Robert Morris University at Plaster Field.
