The Missouri State field hockey team lost to Ball State University, 3-0, Saturday afternoon in Muncie, Ind. The loss drops the Bears to 1-12, 0-3 in the Mid-American Conference while Ball State improves to 3-9, 1-4 in MAC play.
Ball State's Brooke MacGillivary scored all three of the game's goals in the first half. Jodi Mann, Lauren Cruz and Gretchen Lulow assisted a goal each.
Ball State out shot the (14-9) and earned more corners (8-4).
Missouri State's goalkeeper Kim Kinsella collected six saves to push her season total 145 saves in 13 games.
The Bears will play at Miami Sunday Oct. 7 at noon.
