Football staff receives contract extensions

MISSOURI STATE RENEWS FOOTBALL COACHING CONTRACTS

The coaching contracts of Missouri State University head football coach Terry Allen and eight assistant coaches were renewed and extended in a unanimous vote of the Missouri State Board of Governors at Friday’s (Jan. 5) board meeting.

Allen’s contract was extended by a year and now runs through Jan. 31, 2012. The assistant coaches are all on one-year contracts. All nine coaches will receive the same three percent salary increase that was the maximum increase for other university employees for the current fiscal year. Assistant coaches included in the board action Friday are D.J. Vokolek, Rob Bolks, Chris Kapilovic, Derrick LeBlanc, Sean Coughlin, Jamar Cain, Andy Follett and the replacement for the one position on the staff not currently filled. Offensive coordinator Steve Brickey left Missouri State in November to take a position at Samford University and a search is underway for his replacement.
