Missouri State field hockey defeated Lindenwood 6-0 Sunday at Plaster Field in Springfield. The Bears' record improves to 4-3 on the season and Lindenwood drops to 1-2.
The offensive storm was lead by senior defender Ashley Huck, who scored her first two goals of the season. Senior Stephanie Wehrman scored one goal to push her season total to five goals. Melissa Lantz, Melissa Millin and Katie Schwartz also scored for the Bears.
Missouri State outshot Lindenwood 28-6 and earned more corners, 11-3. Goalkeepers Kim Kinsella and Jesica Schuster split playing time, but Kinsella takes the win.
The Bears' next game is at home against Kent State at 12 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29. They also play Ohio at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30. Both are conference games.
