Howell made history at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships last weekend by winning all three of her individual events to finish her career with an unblemished 15-0 record in individual events at the MVC Championships while helping the Bears win their sixth-straight team title. She was named MVC swimmer of the year after becoming the first Valley swimmer ever to accomplish the feat. The Bixby, Okla., product got her first win in the 500 freestyle by registering a 4:46.71. Howell then picked up a win in the 200 freestyle with a school and conference-record time of 1:46.57. She garnered her final victory in the 1,650 freestyle with a mark of 16:39.67. In addition to outstanding individual swims, Howell was also a part of wins in the 800 freestyle relay (7:14.09), 400 medley relay (3:40.09), and the 400 freestyle relay (3:19.76).
