Jack Duffy sparked the Missouri State offense with a .417 batting mark to lead the Bears to a three-game sweep of Valpo over the weekend. The Kansas City native recorded a pair of two-hit games, scored six times and slugged 1.000 with a pair of home runs. Duffy played a starring role in each of MSU’s two scoring rallies in a 5-4 opening-game victory Thursday, homering to put the Bears on the board in the third, before singling and scoring the tying run as part of MSU’s go-ahead, four-run fifth. In game two he homered again and scored two runs, before logging another two-hit game Sunday to extend his personal hit streak to nine-straight games.
