Danielle Gitzen averaged 19.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.0 assists in a pair of wins at the Roo Holiday Classic, shooting 50 percent both overall and from 3-point land. Thursday against Louisiana Tech, the senior guard had 22 points and 10 rebounds for her second career double-double, shooting 9-for-16 overall and 4-for-4 from the foul line. She added two assists and two steals against the Lady Techsters. Friday, Gitzen tallied a game-high 17 points in 23 minutes, adding three steals, two assists and two rebounds in a victory against SIU Edwardsville, earning all-tournament honors at the event.
