Philip Loyd

Philip Loyd joined the Missouri State Athletic Medical and Rehabilitation Services staff as a full-time assistant athletic trainer in August 2025. He oversees the health care for the Missouri State men's soccer and men's golf teams.

He made his way to Springfield after spending the previous three-plus years at Delta State University. While at Delta State, Loyd oversaw the athletic training services for the baseball program, served as an insurance coordinator and was a first aid and CPR instructor among other duties.
 
Prior to his time at Delta State, Loyd also had stops as an athletic trainer at Bethel University, Hendrix College/Conway Regional Health Systems and the Texarkana Arkansas School District. He also spent one year as a graduate assistant at West Texas A&M University.

Loyd graduated from Southern Arkansas University with a bachelor's degree in Athletic Training in 2017, before adding a master's degree in Exercise Science from Delta State in May 2024.
