2015-16 Track and Field: Missouri State Athletics Director's Honor Roll

2016-17 Track & Field:
Indoor: Competed in three meets… Opened the indoor season with a seventh-place finish in the 800-meter run (2:32.13) at the Bob Timmons Challenge (Dec. 2)… At the Missouri Invitational (Jan. 20), posted a time of 2:33.89 in the 800-meter run… Turned in a time of 2:31.53 in the 800-meter run at the Jayhawk Classic (Jan. 27).
 
Outdoor: Competed in four meets… Finished fifth in the 800-meter run (2:20.79) at the Bulldog Relays (Mar. 17), and competed in the 4x800-meter relay (10:00.77)… Posted a time of 2:29.38 in the 800-meter run at Arkansas Spring Invitational (Mar. 25)… Turned in a time of 2:32.25 in the 800-meter run at Tom Botts Invitational (Apr. 14)… Crossed the finish line at the 2:34.26 mark in the 800-meter run at the Rock Chalk Classic (Apr. 28).


2015-16 Track & Field:
Indoor: Competed in three meets… Opened the season at the Bob Timmons Challenge (Dec. 4) with a third-place performance in the 800-meter run (2:33.69)… Took nearly five seconds off of her 800-meter run time (2:28.57) at the Pittsburg State Invitational (Jan. 29)… Clocked in a personal-best time of 2:27.85 in the 800-meter run at the Gorilla Classic (Feb. 12-13) and was a member of the distance medley relay that finished second (12:1769) to finish out her first year of competition.

Outdoor: Did not compete for the Bears.

Background: Ran both track and cross country under coach D.E. Brown at Winnetonka High ... Competed in the the 800m for Track Boyz Track Club for coach Dwayne Baldwin ... First-Team All-Conference in 4x800 and 4x400 ... Second-team all-conference in 800m and 4x800 ... Indoor personal record of 2:34 at U of A high school invitational.

Personal: Selena Christine Buckner was born December 2, 1995 in Topeka, Kan. ... Daughter of Brian and LuCinda Buckner ... Has two sisters, Maya and Veronica, and one brother, Aaron ... Planning to major in Pre-Nursing.
