2025 (Sophomore)
Appeared in 43 games and made 25 starts in the outfield, primarily in the outfield…Batted .262 with 16 hits, 15 runs scored, a team-leading seven stolen bases and six RBI on the season…Logged her first hit of the season, an RBI infield single, against Tulsa (Feb. 14)…Tallied two hits and an RBI at Central Arkansas (March 3)…Entered the game in the outfield in the third inning against UIC and went 2-for-2 at the plate and scored twice (March 15)…Knocked a two-RBI single up the middle in a run-rule victory in game one of a doubleheader at Evansville (March 22)…In game two of the doubleheader, she drew two walks, stole two bases and scored a run…Set a career high in hits with a 4-for-4 outing versus Kansas City, which also featured two stolen bases and two runs scored (March 26)…Drove in a run and was 2-for-4 with a double in the series finale at Murray State (March 28)…Drew a bases-loaded walk to collect an RBI in addition to going 1-for-2 with a run at Illinois State (April 18)…Hit her second extra-base hit of the season with a double down the left field line at Drake (May 3)… Earned NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors…Named to the MSU Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025.

Appeared in 39 games, primarily serving as a pinch runner…Scored 10 runs and stole four bases on the season…Scored her first career run against Army at the NFCA Leadoff Classic (Feb. 9)… Collected her first career stolen base in a victory at Southern Miss (Feb. 17)…Recorded a run scored in five different conference series…Named to the MVC Honor Roll and to the MSU Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for Fall 2023 and Spring 2024.

High School
A local product out of Kickapoo High School, Akers was a two-time first-team all-conference, all-district and all-region selection under head coach Jason Howser… Three-time conference champion and two-time district champion…Batted .530 and set multiple state records after going 72-for-72 on stolen base attempts in her senior campaign… First-team all-state selection in her final season…Posted a .430 batting average and stole 26 bases as the Chiefs were crowned conference champions in her junior season…Owned a .450 batting average with 26 stolen bases as a sophomore en route to a Final 4 appearance after collecting district and conference titles…Hit .333 as a freshman on Chiefs conference and district championship squad…Three-time academic all-conference and all-district honoree….Played travel ball for the Missouri Chiefs based out of Southwest Missouri.
