Competed in two meets… Clocked a 4K time of 15:42.4 at the J.K. Gold Classic… Ran a 19:06.2 to finish 74th out of 283 runners at the Southern Stampede (5K).

2018 Cross Country
Competed in all six meets for the Bears… Set a 4K personal best at the J.K. Gold Classic (Sept. 1) with a 15:04.4 time… Running a career best 18:14.9 5K race at the Missouri Southern Stampede (Sept. 15)… Posted an 18:25.5 5K at the Chile Pepper Festival (Sept. 22)… Earned a PR in the 6K, running a 22:17.7 race… Finished in 31st place at the MVC Championship with an 18:27.3 time… Ended the season at the NCAA Midwest Regional with a 22L19.2 6K race.

2017 Cross Country
Ran for the Bears in all six events… Opened the season at the J.K. Gold Classic (Sept. 2) with a time of 15:06.1 marking a new personal best and third overall finish... Finished the Missouri Southern Stampede after running an 18:45.49 5K… Recorded her fastest 5K of the season with an 18:27.9 mark at the Chile Pepper Festival (Sept. 30) and a 25:03.7 6K time at the Bradley Pink Classic (Oct. 13)… Earned 40th at the MVC Championship after running a 18:52.14… Clocked 22:09.8 6K time at the NCAA Midwest Regional and finished 139th.

Background: Joins the Bears after competing for a semester at Kansas State... Was a four-year letterwinner at Central High as a member of both her track and cross country team... During cross country season, she was a state qualifier her sophomore year and was named all-conference her final season season... Two-time fourth-place finisher in the 800-meter run at state before finishing as the second runner up her senior year... Was the district and conference champ, as well as the school record holder in the 800-meter run her senior season.

Personal: Paityn Elizabeth Stagner is the daughter of Robert and Jennifer Howat... Married Gage Stagner in June 2019... Was born Aug. 27 in St. Joseph, Mo... Has two sisters, Ali and Gabby... Majoring in elementary education at MSU.
