Competed in six meets… Opened the season with a 4K time of 15:38.1 at the J.K. Gold Classic… Clocked her fastest 5k time of the season at the Southern Stampede where finished at the 18:56.9 mark… Competed at the NCAA Midwest Regional meet for the fourth straight year, running a 24:34.5 6K time.

2018 Cross Country
Competed in all six meets for the Bears… Posting a career best 4K time at the J.K. Gold Classic (Sept. 10 14:57.8… Another career best time was marked at the Missouri Southern Stampede (Sept. 15) on an 18:05.0 time… Running an 18:15.7 5K at the Chile Pepper Festival (Sept. 22)… Bradley Pink Classic (Oct. 12) saw a career best 6K time of 21.58.0… Finished 24^th at the MVC Championship with an 18:33.1 time… Finished the season strong at the NCAA Midwest Regional with a 22.57.1 time.

2017 Cross Country
Competed in all six meets for the Bears… Ran a 15:20.9 4K at the J.K. Gold Classic (Sept. 2)… Marked a 18:39.97 5K at the Southern Stampede (Sept. 16) marking a new career best 5K… Recorded an 18:07.2 time at the Chile Pepper Festival… At the Bradley Pink Classic she marked a 23:11.7 time… Earned a 35th place finish at the 5K Missouri Valley Conference Championship meet where she ran an 18:41.39 time… Finished the season with a 22:16.8 time at the NCAA Midwest Regional meet.

2016 Cross Country
Ran in all six events for the Bears… Opened the season at the Gabby Reuveni Early Bird Meet (Sept. 2) with a time of 15:41.9 to finish 26th... Finished 69th at the Missouri Southern Stampede after running a 19:19.08 5K… Recorded a 19:06.8 5k mark at the Chile Pepper Festival (Oct. 1) and a 19:38.1 6K time at the Bradley Pink Classic (Oct. 14)… Earned 56th at the MVC Championship after finishing the 5K race in 19:38.1… Clocked a 23:25.6 6K time at the NCAA Midwest Regional.

Background: Participated in cross country all four years at Carl Junction... Four-time first team all-conference selection and two-time first team all-district member... Helped guide her team to three conference championships... Broke the 3200-meter school record her junior season... Earned All-State her senior season... Competed in track for three seasons and basketball for two.

Personal: Jordyn Capra was born January 16 in Joplin, Mo.... Daughter of Jeff and Jill Capra... Has one sister, Jenna... Majoring in Animal Science at MSU... Aspires to continue education at vet school upon graduation.
