Biography
Outlook
A versatile athlete who can play inside or on the perimeter, Erica Biel's (pronounced BILE) defensive skills and shooting abilities could land the 6-1 guard immediate playing time.
High School
Erica earned four varsity letters in basketball for Trinity Catholic High School and was a two-time KBCA Class 2A All-State First Team selection for the Lady Celtics. Biel set the Trinity Catholic single-game record with a 40-point effort and was named MVP of the Mid-Kansas All-Star Game her senior year. She was also named to the Topeka Capital Journal and Wichita Eagle all-state squads and was tabbed Class 2A player of the year by the Hutchinson News. As a junior, Biel set school single-game records for blocked shots (11) and three-point field goals (6) while leading her squad to a sub-state championship. A multi-sport talent, Erica also lettered in cross country and track and field.

The daughter of Paul and Anita Biel, Erica was born September 15, 1987 in Hutchinson, Kan. She has two brothers (Zach and Scott) and two sisters (Megan and Celia) and has aspirations of becoming a veterinarian. Biel chose the Lady Bears over New Mexico State.
