2015-16 Season (Junior)
Competed in primarily butterfly and backstroke events for the Bears throughout the season … Took a meet-high 13th overall in the 100 fly at the 2016 MAC Championships … Also set season-best times in the 100 back and 200 fly at the MAC meet … Scored points for the Bears at the Purdue Invitational … Also had a top showing for Missouri State in the Duel in the Pool at Drury in January … Finished season with top-four times in three events for MSU, including the second fastest times in the 100 back and 100 fly. 

2014-15 Season (Sophomore)
Finished season at the Mid-American Conference Championships with two lifetime bests ... Best finish was a first-place showing in the B-finals of the 100 butterfly (49.12) ... Also made B-finals appearances in the 100 backstroke (49.96) and 200 butterfly (1:50.54), placing 11th and 13th overall, respectively ... Swam second-fastest 100 back times in conference duals at Evansville (Oct. 10) and Southern Illinois (Oct. 11) ... Finished with a lifetime-best 1:59.21 in the 200 backstroke in the `Duel in the Pool' at Hammons Student Center ... Also had two of best swims this season at Louisville Invitational ... Had top-five times in three events for the Bears.

2013-14 Season (Freshman)
Competed in primarily in freestyle and butterfly events for the Bears ... Had numerous top finishes at the Shamrock Invitational, as well as at TYR Invitational and in dual against TCU ... Broke four personal marks alone late in year at Shamrock Invite ... Beat multiple competitors from Notre Dame and Iowa in event.

Background
Swam for Chesapeake Swim Club, the same team that produced fellow 2013 recruit Naresh Naik, as well as current MSU men's swimmers Paul Le and Isaac McKnight ... As a senior, broke the Oklahoma 5A state record in the 100 butterfly (51.44) and also claimed first place in the 100-yard backstroke (51.56) ... Followed his performance at the 2013 state meet, he registered a lifetime best in the 100 fly (51.20) at the Speedo Spring Sectionals meet in Jenks, Okla. ... His junior year, he was crowned state champion in the 200 free (1:47.02) and 100 free (48.27)...Ranked as the fifth-best recruit in the state of Oklahoma for 2013, according to CollegeSwimming.com ... Outside of swimming, Selby became an Eagle Scout at the age of 16.
