Biography
At Missouri State: Jesse Shalley was named the 2006-07 Freshman Swimmer of the Year. At the conference championship he placed 11th in the 200 fly race and 14th in the 100 fly competition. Background: Shalley joined Missouri State as a four-time All-American from Blue Springs High in the Kansas City metro area. In his senior year, Shalley was the state champion in the 200 and 400 free relay and set a team, conference and state record in the 400 free relay and a team and conference record in the 200 free relay, earning All-America honors in both. He was an all-state pick in the 50 free and 100 free along with the 200 and 400 free relays. He served as team captain his junior senior years and led his team to two first-place conference finishes and two runner-up state finishes. He was the 50 free and 100 fly conference champion as a senior. In his junior year he won the 100 fly, 200 medley relay and 200 free relay at the conference championship. He was an All-America winner in the 200 free relay as a junior and an All-America pick in the 200 medley relay as a sophomore. Personal: Full name is Jesse W. Shalley.
