Earned top-25 finishes in the 100 and 200 free at the Missouri Show-Me Showdown on Sept. 29.

Earned the Commissioner’s Academic Excellence Award and MVC honor roll recognition … Did not compete.

2015-16 Season (Sophomore)
Made first podium appearance of career at the 2016 MVC Championship and was named an All-MVC Honorable Mention … Completed a season-best finish of 17:20.52 in the 1650 free for eighth place … Scored for the Bears in the 500 free by taking 15th overall with her top time of the year (5:05.22) … Also swam for Missouri State’s 800 free ‘B’ relay squad that finished fifth fastest among eight teams to compete … Set lone lifetime mark of season in the 100 free (54.97) at the Purdue Invitational (Nov. 20-22) … Completed season-best times to date in the 500 free, 100 free and 200 free during Purdue Invite … Picked up event victory in 1000 free in dual win against Evansville … Had eventful beginning of season, taking ninth in the 500 free at the Show-Me Showdown and helped lead Missouri State to win over rival Drury (Oct. 16) with a top-five showing … Finished season with top-five times in two events for MSU, including second fastest mark in the 1650 free.

2014-15 Season (Freshman)
Set four lifetime bests at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship ... Top times at the MVC meet includes the 200 freestyle (1:55.88), 500 freestyle (5:03.96), 1000 freestyle (10:25.29) and 1650 freestyle (17:17.11) ... Earned her first collegiate victory in the 1000 free with a 10:31.50 finish in a dual against Truman State at Hammons Student Center (Jan. 17) ... Topped season-best times in events at Evansville (Oct. 10), Missouri (Oct. 31) and the Louisville Invitational (Nov. 21-23) ... Also had a personal mark in her debut at the Missouri Show-Me Showdown (Oct. 3) in the 100 freestyle (55.48) ... Finished season with top-five times in four events, including the third fastest times among Bears swimmers in the 1000 and 1650 free.

Background
Metz comes to Missouri State from Logan-Rogersville High School where she holds all of the Wildcats' school records except for the 50 freestyle ... A five-time all-state honoree, set the 200- and 500-yard free Central Ozark Conference records as a senior ... Two-year captain ... Also established conference records in the same two events as a freshman and again as a sophomore for coach Wendy Shepard ... Earned Magna Cum Laude honors and an Academic Certificate of Distinction.
