Tyler Hoffman

Tyler Hoffman came to Missouri State as an assistant coach in April 2026.

Hoffman spent the three seasons prior to Missouri State as men's soccer head coach and director of compliance and eligibility at Benedictine University in Mesa, Arizona and assists the Bears in all areas with emphasis on the team's goalkeepers.

As head coach, he led the Benedictine program to its first Great Southwest Athletic Conference (GSAC) conference finals and playoff win. He also produced seven all-conference selections, four conference players of the week, and one NAIA National Player of the Week. He also managed program operations including recruiting, scheduling, fundraising, and compliance collaboration while amassing a 22-21-11 record in his tenure.

Hoffman previously worked at Stanford University as the director of operations for the men's soccer program. In that capacity, he oversaw the day-to-day operations of the program as well as playing a crucial role in coaching staff training. His performance also helped develop the Cardinal goalkeepers as part of the squad's memorable run to the NCAA round of 16 in the 2022 season.

Hoffman has also served as an associate head coach for the men's and women's soccer programs at Las Positas College from 2016-22, combining for eight playoff appearances between both teams during his tenure. He has also been incredibly active in various coaching roles with multiple youth soccer programs.

Hoffman earned a master's degree in Sports Industry Management from Georgetown University and his bachelor's degree in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Hawaii at Hilo.

As a soccer student-athlete at Hilo, he earned three Pac West Defender of the week honors. In 2012 and 2013 he was part of the squad that won the NCAA Division II Western Region Championship. He was part of the California Collegiate Athletic Association runner-up squad in 2012 and championship team in 2013.
