Micah Adkins-Estes was announced as a Missouri State men's soccer assistant coach on Feb. 27, 2025.
Adkins-Estes made his way to Springfield from Louisville where he spent the 2024 season as an assistant men’s soccer coach at Division III Spalding University. The Golden Eagles won their first-ever St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament in 2024 season and advanced to the DIII NCAA Tournament.
Before Spalding, Adkins-Estes was the goalkeeper coach at DIII Wheaton College in Illinois. In 2023, he helped lead the program to an 11-5-2 record and a second-place finish in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW). He oversaw a goalkeeper room that saw junior Mason Escalante be named the CCIW Goalkeeper of the Year. While at Wheaton, Adkins-Estes was also the assistant technical director of Kickers Soccer Club in Aurora, Illinois.
Adkins-Estes got his coaching career started with the Morehead State women’s soccer team and at his alma mater, Kentucky Christian University, as the goalkeeper coach for the men’s and women’s programs.
Adkins-Estes played collegiate soccer for Kentucky Christian in the city of Grayson, which competes in the National Christian College Athletic Association. He was named an NCCAA Conference Goalkeeper of the Year, an NCCAA National Defender of the Week as well as an NCCAA All-Tournament first-team player for the two-time NCCAA National Runner-Up Knights. He was an NCCAA All-American Honorable Mention in 2018 with nine clean sheets while averaging 5.3 saves per game. He had an NCCAA-high 15 saves against the University of Cincinnati - Clermont.
He earned his degree from KCU in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in sports ministry and a minor in counseling in May 2020.
Adkins-Estes was also the head coach at Greenwood Christian Academy in Indianapolis, where he was the youngest coach in Indiana state history to lead the boy’s team to the state championship in just his second season.
A native of Science Hill, Kentucky, Adkins-Estes graduated from Pulaski County High School in Somerset, where he was an All-District and All-Region honoree as a senior. He was the captain of the team and led it to the regional semifinals.
