At Missouri State: The Bears expect Brian to compete for playing time in a improved forward brigade while producing scoring opportunities this season. Collins will look to increase his contributions from last season after playing mostly a relief role. 2008: In his second campaign with the Bears, Collins saw limited action, appearing in eight games at forward in 2008. He recorded three shots on the season with one apiece against Centenary (9/6), Memphis (9/24) and Creighton in the MVC Tournament Championship (11/16). 2007: Collins entered all 20 matches as a sub and finished the year with three points. Collins scored his first career goal Sept. 4 versus North Florida and notched an assist against Illinois-Chicago on Sept. 28. Background: Collins was a two-year starter at Hinsdale Central High School. He finished his senior campaign second in assists and third in points and goals in school history for a single season as he led the Red Devils to the West Suburban Silver Conference championship. The midfielder/forward was an all-conference, allsectional, all-area, and allstate honorable mention who was voted his team[apos]s MVP as a senior. As a junior, Collins led Hinsdale Central in points and goals and was an all-sectional honorable mention. For his career, Collins finished second in assists, third in points, and fourth in goals on the school[apos]s career charts.
