Missed all but two games during the 2022-23 season after suffering a torn ACL in game two at BYU (11/16/22) ... Dished out 4 assists at BYU in 18-minute stretch with a 3-pointer before injury ... Had game-high 4 assists in win over Missouri S&T in season opener (11/9/22) and his MSU debut ... Produced 12 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists in exhibition start against Newman (11/5/22) with a 3-pointer ... Earned MSU Athletic Director's Honor Roll status for Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 semesters.

Saint Peter's
Started 25-of-30 games at point guard for Saint Peter's University in Jersey City, N.J., en route to an Elite Eight run in the 2022 NCAA Tournament with wins over Kentucky, Murray State and Purdue ... Averaged 6.8 points, 1.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game for coach Shaheen Holloway's Peacocks squad that won MAAC championship ... Earned MAAC All-Tournament Team honors in 2022 ... Had a season-high 20 points vs. Iona (1/30/22) in a contest in which he went 4-of-5 from 3-point range ... Peacocks finished the 2021-22 season with a 22-12 overall record after going 14-6 in conference play ... As a sophomore in 2020-21, he started 24-of-25 games, ranking second in the MAAC in assists (89), third in assist average (3.6) and fourth in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.4), while earning MAAC All-Academic Team distinction ... Led the MAAC in 3-point shooting as a freshman, converting 27-of-59 (.458) shots ... In three seasons (82g) at Saint Peters, he compiled 555 points (6.8), 233 assists (2.8), 74 steals (0.9) and 152 rebounds (1.9) with 80 3-pointers.

Attended Dohn Prep in Cincinnati, Ohio where he was a four-year starter and three-time captain for coach Sammy Villegos ...  Scored over 1,000 career points, including 25.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 8.3 assists per game as a senior ... Played his freshman and sophomore years at Eastside High for coach Juan Griles.

Matthew Lee was born 10/25/99 in San Juan, Puerto Rico ... Son of Butch Lee and Rachel Williams of San Juan ... Has two brothers, Brandon and Keith ... His father Butch was the first-ever Puerto-Rican born player to play in the NBA and the only Puerto Rican to win both NCAA (Marquette) and NBA (Lakers) championships ... Completed his undergraduate degree in General Studies during summer of 2023 and is currently pursing a graduate degree in Business Administration (MBA).
