Beth Perine

Beth Perine joined the Dr. Mary Jo Wynn Academic Achievement Center staff in August 2023 as an academic counselor.

She transitioned into the role following 28 seasons on the Missouri State softball coaching staff, helping head coach Holly Hesse and the Bears to a 743-684-2 record during her tenure which included six Missouri Valley Conference Tournament titles and six NCAA Tournament appearances.

Prior to landing in Springfield, Perine made assistant coaching stops at Ohio State and Penn State, before becoming the head coach at Eastern Illinois from 1992-1995.

Perine graduated from Ohio State University in 1982 and earned her master's degree in counseling education from Penn State in 1989.
