The heir apparent at quarterback, Wooden will transition from a 10-game starter at wide receiver to the starting signal caller role this fall ... Was 31-for-58 for 378 yards in four spring scrimmages in 2011 with 3 TDs ... Also led team in rushing and carries this spring, carrying 41 times for 185 yards (4.5) with a touchdown ... Had a 59-yard rushing touchdown in the Maroon and White Spring Game (4/16/11).

2010: Played all 11 games, starting 10, at Z Wide Receiver and serving as the primary holder and backup quarterback ... Had only TD of the season with a key fourth-down conversion at Kansas State (9/11/10), his second straight multi-reception effort ... Had season-high 50 receiving yards on 3 receptions, plus his only pass completion of the season (17 yards) in win over Southern Illinois (10/30/10) ... Had season-high 5 receptions for 43 yards in season finale win over No. 17 North Dakota State (11/20/10) ... Had multiple receptions in 7 games ... Had an 11-yard carry at No. 16 UNI (11/13/10) and narrowly missed a long pass completion ... Finished season third on the team in receptions (21) and yards (284) and had 300 all-purpose yards ... High School: Was a Florida Class 5A second-team all-state quarterback in 2008 after throwing for 1,899 yards with 16 touchdowns while compiling more than 2,300 yards total offense and accounting for 24 touchdowns ... He threw for 333 yards and 4 touchdowns in a game on 9/4/08 against Eagle View (Fla.) Academy ... Helped Coach Ryan Smith[apos]s Hurricanes to a 5-5 finish his senior season and earned all-district honors by the Gainesville Sun and FACA.
