2017: Sophomore campaign saw him return to action in 8 contests ... Had a pair of solo tackles in season opener at Missouri (9/2/17) ... Produced season-high 3 stops vs. South Dakota State (10/21/17) ... Also had multiple tackles in home games against Indiana State (10/28/17) and Northern Iowa (11/11/17).

2016: Was injured for the 2016 season ... Earned MSU Athletic Director’s Honor Roll distinction for spring semester ... Also named to MVFC Honor Roll ... Had 1.5 sacks and 2 total tackles in his return to action for the Maroon and White Spring Game (4/27/17).

2015: Played all 11 games as a true freshman, primarily at defensive end … Accounted for 11 total stops … Logged 3 tackles in home opener against Chadron State (9/12/15), including his first solo stop and pass break-up … Posted his first tackle for loss at Southern Illinois (10/10/15) and followed it up with another one against South Dakota State (10/31/15) … Was in on 2 tackles against Illinois State at Plaster Stadium (10/17/15).

High School: Oluwafunmila was a standout first-year player at Montverde (Fla.) Academy where he was one of the Eagles’ top performers ... Recorded a power throw of 37.5 during the Orlando Nike Football Training Camp testing last March with a 28.7-inch vertical ... According to Montverde coach Brian Triweek, he received a scholarship offer after his first spring game for the Eagles in 2014.
