Jackson Morris joined Missouri State as assistant strength and conditioning coach for football prior to the spring 2024 semester.
Morris came to Springfield after spending the first half of the 2023-24 academic year at Tulane, where he assisted in the training of the Green Wave football and baseball programs.
Prior to Tulane, Morris was at Mercer University for four years, working his way up from intern to associate director of strength and conditioning at the Macon, Ga., school. He worked with the Bears' football, baseball, men's soccer, lacrosse, golf and beach volleyball programs during his tenure, and led the establishment and implementation of the department's first nutrition operation.
Morris played football at Georgia Southern from 2013-16, earning his Bachelor's degree in physical health and education in 2017 and Master's in kinesiology in 2018 before starting his strength and conditioning career as an assistant at the school in 2018-19.
Morris is certified in First Aid and CPR, with additional certifications including Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC), Precision Nutrition Level 1 and ALTIS Essentials. He is also a certified coach through the National Federation Interscholastic Coaches Education program.
