 Three-year letterman and fifth-year squad member who should snag a starting role at defensive end this fall with Mikel Ruder moving to nose tackle ... Notched a pair of tackles, including one for loss in the Maroon and White Game (4/24/10).

 2009: Played 10 games in reserve on the d-line and was also a key part of the special teams units ... Finished with 11 total tackles ... Had season-high four tackles in home win over UT Martin (9/26/09) ... Notched two solo stops against UNI (9/26/09) ... Also recorded two tackles apiece at Youngstown State (10/3/09) and at No. 1 Southern Illinois (11/14/09) ... Was awarded team's inaugural Tough Son of a Bear Award.

 2008: Played in all 11 games and was a key DL reserve and special teams contributor ... Posted career-high five tackles vs. Western Illinois (10/4/08) to claim MSU Defensive Player of the Week honors ... Had multiple tackles at Oklahoma State (9/13/08) and at Illinois State (10/18/08).

 2007: Played in every game and started two at nose tackle ... Recorded three solo tackles in first career start at UT Martin (9/6/07) ... Also had three tackles in home games vs. Missouri S&T (8/30/07), UNI (11/3/07) and Southeast Missouri (8/30/07) ... Had 1.5 tackles for loss the last two games.

 2006: Redshirted his first season at MSU ... Earned Defensive Scout Team POW award for Youngstown State game (9/30/06).

 High School: Recorded 155 tackles and earned third-team all-state honors as a senior for coach Darin Acklin at Liberty High School in Mountain View, Mo. ... Was a four-time all-district and three-time all-South Central Association pick ... Posted career-high 29 tackles in a game as a junior to add to his 168 season total ... Finished career with 525 tackles in four seasons ... Was also a standout thrower and hurdler for the track team.
