Biography

At MSU: Jeran Trotter will work for carries in the backfield this fall after redshirting his first year at Missouri State in 2006. He did not see any action for the Bears last season.

Background: Trotter set the Wichita city rushing record his senior year with 1,718 yards and 25 touchdowns and was named one of the top 11 players in Kansas. He was picked for the Shrine All-Star Game after being selected all-state, all-metro and all-city. His Northwest team won the city, district and regional championship and finished with a 10-1 mark. As a junior, Trotter rushed for over 1,400 yards and 23 TDs.

Personal: Jeran Landen Lee Trotter was born 7/29/87 in Wichita, Kan., the son of Edward Trotter and Donette Chandler. He is majoring in criminology at Missouri State.
