Football strength and conditioning coach Adam Lang joined the Missouri State staff in March of 2016 after nearly two years as the head strength and conditioning coach at William Jewell College.
Lang is a 2008 graduate of Oregon State University where he earned his degree in nutrition and exercise science while working in the strength and conditioning department. After graduation, Lang was hired as the head strength coach for the conference championship men’s soccer and women’s rowing programs at Oregon State while assisting with football and volleyball.
He went on to pursue his master's in sports management in 2011 from Northern Illinois University where he worked with football and 10 other sports during his two years as a graduate assistant in DeKalb.
He parlayed his time at NIU into a full-time position in 2012 when he was named assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Huskies. Lang worked with football, volleyball, baseball and men's tennis during his final season there and oversaw the graduate assistants. He also served the strength needs of the men's soccer, baseball and women's basketball programs in his first season as a full-time strength coach at NIU.
In July of 2014, he moved to Liberty, Mo., to work at William Jewell where he oversaw the year-round strength, power, agility and conditioning programs for 13 intercollegiate sports at the NCAA Division II school. He also managed the budget for the department while teaching three classes.
His articles have been published in various strength publications, and he holds numerous certifications, including the certified strength and conditioning specialist.
He and his wife Courtney, and four children; Conor, Ryann, Logan, Aaron reside in Springfield.
