Adeana McAfee shot up the Missouri State career charts in her first year in a full-time starting position at libero and will bring a valuable experience factor to the Bears as a senior . . . As a junior (2005): McAfee led the Bears to a No. 13 national ranking to end the 2005 season with 18.99 digs per game . . . Ranks second on the Missouri State career chart for digs per game with 3.24, after averaging 4.25 in 2005, which was just shy of Jane Parker's school record mark of 4.29 . . . Was named the MVP of the T J Sales/Dr. Mary Jo Wynn Tournament . . . Posted double-digit digs in all but two matches that she played . . . McAfee helped lead the Winona Wildcats to the state championship match in three straight years . . . She was a three-time all-conference, all-district and all-region selection with the Wildcats and she was a two-time all-state pick . . . As a senior, McAfee was the conference and district MVP and she helped the Wildcats to a school record 36 wins and a runner-up finish in the state Class 2 Championship . . . Winona High was the Class 1A state champion in McAfee's junior season and the Class 1A state runner-up in her sophomore year . . . She set school single season records for kills (432), digs (390) and attacks (876).
