Rillie Collects CUSA Freshman of the Week Honors

DALLAS – For the third consecutive week, a Missouri State volleyball player is bringing home hardware from Conference USA, this time with Halle Rillie's selection as the league's Freshman of the Week.
Rillie averaged 5.33 assists and 2.00 digs per set in three matches at the Missouri Challenge, beginning with a double-double of 21 assists and 10 digs on Thursday at Kansas City.
The Santa Barbara, Calif., native had 19 assists and 9 digs Friday against SEMO, then dished out 24 assists with five digs on Saturday versus Saint Louis. Rillie had one kill and one ace in each match while helping set the Mo State offense to a .258 hitting percentage.
The Bears (9-3) open Conference USA play at home on Sept. 25 and 26 against FIU. Match times are 6 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday, with a celebration of Hammons Student Center's 50th birthday scheduled for the weekend.
Tickets for home games can be purchased here, and Missouri State students are admitted free of charge.
