
Gardner Selected as CUSA Setter of the Week

DALLAS – Missouri State's Hannah Gardner was selected Monday at the Conference USA Setter of the Week for her MVP performance at the Hawkeye Invitational.
Gardner averaged a triple-double during the Bears' 3-0 weekend in Iowa with per match totals of 12 kills, 18 assists and 11.7 digs, and per set averages of 3.27 kills, 4.91 assists, 3.18 digs and 0.36 blocks with a .279 hitting percentage.
The Springfield native hit .370 with 15 kills, 17 assists and 14 digs Saturday at Iowa, her second match this season with 14-plus in each category after that had not been done at Missouri State since 1989. The victory extended Mo State's winning streak to six matches, its longest since 2021.
She had nine kills, 22 assists, 13 digs and three blocks on Thursday against Incarnate Word, and finished with 12 kills, 15 assists and eight digs on Friday versus Southern Illinois while hitting .281.
Gardner is one of two players nationally with 90 kills, 150 assists and 80 digs.
Mo State (7-2) hits the road Sept. 17-19 for the Missouri Challenge. The Bears face host Kansas City at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, SEMO at 4 p.m. Friday and Saint Louis at 11 a.m. Saturday. Â
