SPRINGFIELD - Missouri State beach volleyball returns home Saturday, April 4, to host Southwest Baptist for Senior Day at noon at the Betty & Bobby Allison Sand Volleyball Courts.
Saturday's dual marks the final home match of the regular season for Missouri State, which returns to Springfield after a 2-2 weekend at the Battle of the Bay in St. Petersburg, Fla. The Bears picked up wins over Saint Leo and Eckerd during the trip and now turn their attention to an in-state matchup against the Bearcats.

Bears on the Beach
Missouri State enters Senior Day with a 16-3 overall record after splitting four matches last weekend in Florida. The Bears opened the event with a win over Saint Leo, dropped a narrow decision to Eckerd, fell 3-2 to Tampa on Saturday morning and bounced back with a 4-1 victory over Eckerd in the finale.
MacKenzie Steele and
Amanda Cleary led the way with a perfect 4-0 weekend on court two.
Rylie Cepicky and
Allyson Larkin added three wins on court one, while
Manuela Niemeyer and
Taylor Germann chipped in two victories. On court five,
Logan Kaneshiro and
Jaycee Fixsen bounced back from a loss to Saint Leo with wins over Tampa and Eckerd, while Kaneshiro also paired with
Morgan Bos in the first meeting against Eckerd.
Scouting the Sand
Southwest Baptist visits Springfield for the second meeting between the two programs this season. Missouri State won the first matchup 5-0 on Feb. 27 and leads the all-time series 7-0.
Under Ashley Emery
Ashley Emery is in her fourth season leading the program and has continued to oversee one of the strongest stretches in school history. Missouri State enters the weekend with a 16-3 record and has remained a factor near the top of the Conference USA standings throughout the spring.
Bears in Conference USA
Missouri State remains in the mix in Conference USA play as the regular season enters its final stretch. The CUSA Championship is set for April 24-26 at Sugar Beach in Youngsville, Louisiana.
