HOLLISTER, Mo. -- The Missouri State women's golf team took the first-round lead Monday (Mar. 23) at the Ozarks National Invitational at Ozarks National Golf Course. The Bears have a five-shot lead after posting 303 as the field battled windy conditions and the tough Coore-Crenshaw layout.
South Dakota is second at 308, with UTEP third at 312 and Indiana State fourth with 313. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (314), West Florida (314), South Dakota State (315), Oklahoma City (318), Merrimack (320) and Illinois State (320) round out the top 10.
Freshman
Chloe Bolte led the way for MoState in the opening round, shooting a two-over-par 74 to place her in a tie for third, four off the lead held by Lucia Ramirez of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Senior

Coyee Zhang are tied for 10th after carding 76's. Sophomore
Marlee Edgeman is 17th after shooting 77, while
Tierney Baumstark posted 80,
