DALLAS – Missouri State women's basketball guard
Kaemyn Bekemeier has earned her fourth Conference USA Player of the Week award this season, the league announced today (Feb. 9).
Bekemeier led the Lady Bears and Conference USA with 23.0 points per game across a 2-0 week for Missouri State. She also averaged 7.5 rebounds per game while shooting .522 (12-23) from the field, .615 (8-13) from three and .875 (14-16) from the free throw line on the week.
In Thursday night's win over Middle Tennessee, she posted a game-high 25 points and eight rebounds on 8-for-11 from the field, 4-5 from three and 5-6 from the charity stripe. She added a game-high 21 points, along with seven rebounds, an assist and a steal in the Saturday win over Western Kentucky.
The Republic, Mo., native now owns 11 20-point games and 21 double-figure scoring performances on the season. She leads CUSA in scoring with 19.7 points per game against league opponents and leads the conference in overall points with 420, as she is the only player in the league over the 400-point threshold this season.
This week's award marks Bekemeier's fourth of the season, the most in CUSA.
Missouri State is back on the road this week for Conference USA matchups at Sam Houston (Thursday, Feb. 12) and Louisiana Tech (Saturday, Feb. 14). Both games will stream on ESPN+.
