Last Week's Results
  • The Bears faced tough competition on the road, falling to Omaha and Creighton.
  • On Friday Feb. 13, the Bears could not find answers against hosts Omaha, despite putting up a fiery battle with two singles matches going to a third set. Freshman Matilde Ercoli was the only victor picking up a straight sets win at No. 4 singles. | Recap
  • On Saturday Feb 14, Creighton proved too strong capturing the doubles point, and victories on three singles courts to clinch a 4-0 victory. However in singles play the Bears had three courts push into a third set. Senior Billur Gonlusen, freshman Leni Eichner, and Ercoli all entered third set bouts before play was halted. | Recap

Quoting the Coach
"We're really excited for this match. Playing Kansas City is always intense and with my dad coaching the other side, it makes it even more special. We've been giving each other a hard time all year about this one and knowing how competitive we both are, and I know it's going to be a battle. Last year we played for four and a half hours, so we're expecting another long, gritty match. We're also happy to finally be getting healthier. Being without Lucy and dealing with sickness going around, the last couple of matches hurt us, but this group stayed together and kept fighting. Getting closer to full strength this week has given us a lot of energy, and we're excited to compete against a tough Kansas City Roos team," stated head coach Austin Hale ahead of this week.
