• The Bears had a brilliant 7-0 victory against Northeastern State at home, on Wednesday Feb. 4. The Bears first won all three doubles matches to capture the doubles point. Missouri State then sealed the deal with six singles victories, without a single set lost across all six courts.  | Recap

Team Notes

• Lucy Latham and Matilde Ercoli have now won three straight doubles matches (against Bradley, South Dakota, and Northeastern State) at the No. 1 doubles position.
• Elsie Jackson has also won three straight singles on courts six and five. 
• Leni Eichner and Billur Gonlusen recorded their second straight doubles win on court three.
• Latham and Ercoli and also won their second straight singles matches.
• Leticia Caldararo won her very first match as a Bear, in her first appearance, on court six against Northeastern State.
• The Bears look to win their third and fourth straight matches.
• Missouri State women's tennis begins a new era this season as part of Conference USA.
• Head coach Austin Hale is in his second year at the helm of Bears tennis.

"We are looking forward to the matches this weekend. Omaha and Creighton are both tough, well coached teams, so we know we'll be tested. Coming off two wins, our group has some confidence, but the focus is on competing the right way and continuing to get better as we head into this weekend," stated head coach Austin Hale ahead of this week.
