GREENWOOD, Ind. - Missouri State swimming & diving had eight swimmers named to the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday morning.

Caitlyn Friebe, Lana Janson, Samantha Roemer and Evie Kolb represent the Bears on the women's all-district team, while Simeon Sabev, Alex Boutin, Lucas Chadwell and Jack Grandy earned the four nods for the men's team.

Student-athletes are eligible for the CSC All-District team by being at least a sophomore both academically and athletically and having at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale. Swimmers and divers must have competed in five team competitions or finished in the top eight of an event at a conference meet.

Five of the eight Bears selected this year (Janson, Roemer, Boutin, Chadwell and Grandy) represented Missouri State on the CSC Academic All-District Team last year. Sabev made the 2022-23 CSC Academic All-District Team with Delaware. Friebe and Kolb were freshmen last year and therefore ineligible.

All eight were also named to the Missouri Valley Conference Swimming & Diving Scholar-Athlete team on Friday.
