The Lady Bear Necessities
- Missouri State women's basketball wraps up the regular season on Saturday afternoon (1:00 p.m.) as the Lady Bears host Bradley on Senior Day. The Lady Bears enter the final game of the regular season in a tie for first place in the MVC standings. A victory against Bradley would guarantee at least a share of the MVC regular-season title.
- MoState leads the all-time series against Bradley, 68-25, including a 38-10 record against the Braves at home in Springfield. The Lady Bears have won the last 17 meetings in the series, including a 73-62 victory earlier this season on the road in Peoria.
- Missouri State is the lone team in the MVC with an undefeated record at home this season (13-0). The Lady Bears have won 16 straight games at home dating back to last season, which is tied for the 10th longest active home win streak in NCAA Division I. In home games this season, MoState is holding opponents to 55.5 points/game and owns a +18.9 scoring margin. Under head coach Beth Cunningham, MoState is 38-5 on its home floor.
- Lacy Stokes (Sr., Mount Vernon, Mo.) continunes to get it done on both ends of the floor for Missouri State. The 5-4 point guard tops the MVC and ranks 23rd in the nation in steals (76) and 26th in steals/game (2.5) this season. Stokes also leads MoState in scoring (13.7 ppg) and assists (125), and she has posted seven consecutive double-digit scoring performances.
- Spectacular Sophomores - Sophomores Kaemyn Bekemeier (11.2 ppg) and Kyrah Daniels (12.2 ppg) are two of four Lady Bears averaging double-figure points this season, and they rank first and third on the team in rebounding with 176 and 156 boards, respectively. Bekemeier is 2nd on the team in FT% (.786) and 1st in 3FG% (.380), while Daniels leads the team in 3FGM (58) and blocks (26).
- Missouri State ranks 44th nationally in bench points per game with 23.6. The duo of Bekemeier and Douglas has accounted for 77.7 percent (550 out of 708) of MoState's bench points this season.
- Paige Rocca (Sr., Iowa City, Iowa) is tied for 3rd in program history with 104 career wins, trailing only Brice Calip (122) and Sydney Wilson (119), while currently tying with Melody Howard (104).
- A couple of keys to success for Missouri State this season have been:
- Getting off to a quick start: 20-2 when leading at the half and are 2-5 when trailing at the break.
- Bench production: 18-3 this season when leading in bench scoring.
- Balanced offense: 14-1 this season when four or more players score in double figures.
- In the Cunningham era, Missouri State is 45-4 when scoring 70+ points, 48-1 when holding opponents to 65 points or less and 36-0 when opponents score less than 60 points.
