SHAWNEE, Okla. - Missouri State STUNT (0-4) will regroup from its first tournament action last week with another set of games hosted by Oklahoma Baptist University at Noble Complex this weekend. The Bears will play two games on Saturday and end their second tournament with two games on Sunday night.
Tickets can be purchased through Oklahoma Baptist here for $15 per day or $25 for the three-day tournament consisting of 12 teams and 24 head-to-head matchups.Â
All three days of the tournament will be streamed on the Bison Sports Network with a subscription. The full tournament schedule can be found here.

On the Mat
- Missouri State opened its inaugural season last week with a tournament hosted by Dallas Baptist University at Burg Center. The Bears, facing off against nationally-ranked competition, dropped their four games last week which included bouts against defending Division I champion California Baptist and reigning DII champions Oklahoma Baptist.
- The inaugural Bears STUNT team boasts a roster of 22 student-athletes with 14 coming from Missouri. The roster also includes players from Arkansas (1), Kansas (2), Illinois (2) Oklahoma (2) and Wisconsin (1).
- Missouri State is one of three new Division I members to sponsor STUNT in 2025 along with Northern Kentucky and Mercyhurst, which made the jump from DII this year.
- College STUNT is divided between Division I, II, III, NAIA and Club levels.
Head Coach Kennedy Wingbermuehle
- Missouri State STUNT head coach Kennedy Wingbermuehle was named the team's inaugural head coach on Feb. 27, 2024.
- She was the head coach at Central Methodist for the 2023 and 2024 seasons, where the Eagles entered the 2025 season as the No. 3-ranked NAIA team.Â
- Wingbermuehle was the captain of the Oklahoma State cheer team and part of the 2021 NCA National Championship Team in the large coed division. She was also a member of Oklahoma State's STUNT team, earning Division I STUNT Athlete of the Year honors for a program that won seven straight national titles.
Scouting the Competition
- Missouri State will open its second tournament against Texas Woman's University (2-1, 1-1 Lone State Conference) Saturday at 12:30 p.m. The Pioneers are the preseason No. 11-ranked team at the Division II level. TWU competed in the Dallas Baptist Tournament last weekend along with Missouri State, sporting wins against Texas A&M - Kingsville and Southern Nazarene. The Pioneers lost their season-opener to host Dallas Baptist. The matchup against Missouri State will be the Texas Woman's University's final game of the tournament as they will play St. Mary's (Texas) and Drury on Friday and rematch Southern Nazarene on Saturday morning.
- The Bears will end Saturday against crosstown-rival Drury at 8:20 p.m. as the penultimate game of the night. The Panthers are the No. 13-ranked DII team and will open their season Friday night against TWU before taking on the Bears.
- MoState will play back-to-back games on Sunday to wrap up their time in the tournament. The Bears will play Wingbermuehle's alma mater Oklahoma State at 5:15 p.m. OSU is the No. 1-ranked Club Division team in the nation and boasts a 3-1 record and is 3-0 in Club play against Arizona State, Michigan State and Texas.
- The STUNT Bears immediately hit the mats to finish the tournament with a rematch against host Oklahoma Baptist at 6:30 p.m. The Bison are the defending DII national champions and are the No. 1-ranked preseason DII team. OBU defeated Missouri State, 24-0 to open the season last weekend and holds a 3-1 record with its only loss coming against Cal Baptist.
Mid-America West Conference
- Missouri State STUNT competes in the Mid-America West Conference, a Division I STUNT conference that consists of Central Arkansas, Kentucky, Mercyhurst, Missouri State, Northern Kentucky, Trevecca Nazarene and UT Martin.
- All seven MAWC teams will be seeded for the double-elimination Mid-America West Tournament starting on April 4-5 at the Historic Memorial Coliseum in Lexington, Kentucky.
