As many of you know, Coach Ryan Beard has decided to take the head coaching position at Coastal Carolina University. We certainly appreciate all he did for our program over the years, and wish him the best of luck.  Unfortunately, his agreement with CCU will prevent him from coaching in the bowl game next week, but we will name an interim head coach in short order and have our team ready to play in the XBox Bowl on Dec. 18. 

A national search for Ryan's replacement is already underway, and I couldn't be more excited about the opportunity to find our new leader of the Missouri State football program! We will be quick and thorough in our process.

I encourage everyone to avoid speculation throughout the search process and rely on official communications as we move forward. We will make an official announcement via official university channels once a new head coach has been selected.
