The SeriesÂ
Missouri State leads the all-time series 61-31 against Northern Iowa, including a 35-8 record at home in Springfield. The two squads have alternated victories across the last seven meetings.Â
Last season, the Lady Bears and Panthers met just one time - a 54-52 victory for MoState in Springfield. Last year's meeting was the conference opener for both squads and it delivered an instant classic. Missouri State didn't take its first lead of the game until the 3:18 mark in the fourth quarter, and later UNI's Maya McDermott tied the game with 0:05 remaining. After the Lady Bears advanced the ball and had one final chance, that's when
Lacy Stokes worked her magic and got a contested shot off right before the buzzer, watching it fall through as she slid across the baseline for the two-point victory.Â
