Cross Checking the Bears

The Missouri State cross country team will head to the Gans Creek Invitational hosted by Missouri on Friday. The women's 6k DI race is scheduled to start at 8:45 a.m. and the 6k open event at 10:15 a.m.
This will be MoState's final meet in Missouri this season and its first 6-kilometer race.
The DI race will feature 39 other teams including fellow MVC teams Illinois State, UNI, Southern Illinois and Valparaiso. The open race will have 26 other scoring teams and 10 non-scoring teams.
Nine Bears will represent MoState in the DI race and seven more in the open.
The Bears are coming off a hometown win after winning the Queen City Twilight with 28 points. Mary Margaret Harris led the Bears across the line to finish second with a 5k time of 18:23.11.
Missouri State also won its season opening race at SEMO. Once again, Harris was the first Bear across the line.
Last season, the Bears ran their season opener at Missouri and finished third in the Missouri XC Open.
