CONWAY, Ark. – Junior transfer Billur Gonlusen went undefeated on day one of the women's tennis team's trip to the UCA Fall Invitational hosted by Central Arkansas in Conway on Friday.
 
Gonlusen had an early look at some potential spring season opponents when she faced Harune Shiegmasu from UCA and took home a win with a score of 6-4, 6-3. Later in the day the junior from Adana, Turkey got her second win over Kansas City's Ashley Jacobson, 6-2, 6-3.
 
In doubles, Gonlusen teamed up with Tuana Gunal to defeat Catherine Chrobak and Amal Gati from Kansas City with a score of 6-3.
 
Sandra Lukacova secured the Bears final singles victory of the day over Kansas City's Maria Bylina. Lukacova took the first set 6-4 then dropped the second set 6-1. The senior rallied in the third set to win the tie breaker 10-5.
 
The Bears will close out the tournament tomorrow morning at 9:30 a.m.
