ST. LOUIS -- Missouri State guard
Alston Mason (Jr., Phoenix, Ariz.) has been named to the All-Missouri Valley Conference men's basketball team, the league announced Wednesday evening at its pre-tournament banquet.
Mason is one of 16 Valley players recognized on the All-MVC team after he led the Bears and ranked third in The Valley in scoring at 17.6 points per game. Mason also has racked up 68 3-pointers, 102 assists and 23 steals on the season.
Named to the All-MVC third team, Mason has scored in double figures 24 times in 28 appearances this season, including
20 games with 15 or more points, and 10 games with 20 or more. He has also converted multiple 3-pointers in 21 games this season and ranks 55th nationally and fourth in the MVC in minutes per game (35:17).
Missouri State did not have any honorees on the MVC All-Newcomer Team, All-Freshman Team or All-Defensive Team.
The Bears kick off Arch Madness at Noon on Thursday against Murray State. The game will air on Bally Sports, in addition to ESPN+ and the Bears Radio Network.
