MSU Tandem Earns Valley Doubles Team of the Week

ST. LOUIS – The doubles team of Cristina Flaquer and Nicole Ross was named the Missouri Valley Conference Doubles Team of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.
The pair secured the doubles point for the Bears at Southeastern Louisiana with a 6-4 win after the Bears and Lions split the No. 2 and No. 3 matches. At New Orleans, the duo got the match started on the right foot with a 6-3 win.
Flaquer and Ross enter conference play 5-7 in doubles matches this season, all at No. 1.
The Bears begin conference play on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with a home match against Northern Iowa. Admission is free at Cooper Tennis Complex.
