BOLIVAR, Mo. – The Missouri State women's tennis team recorded a quick 4-0 win over Southwest Baptist on the road on Thursday.

MoState (7-3) secured its win with only two singles wins after the Bearcats (1-4) forfeited the No. 3 doubles match and the No. 6 singles match.

Juliette Robinson and
Tuana Gunal led the Bears to victory. In doubles, the duo battled SBU's team of Giselle Garcia and Paula Ballesteros. The Bears team lost the opening points of the match but made a comeback to win 7-5 and secure the doubles point for the Bears at No. 2. Missouri State remains undefeated when it wins the doubles point.

Robinson and Gunal also showed up in singles for the Bears. Gunal secured the penultimate point for Missouri State with a win 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 3 over Elsa Pascual over SBU. Robinson won by the same score at No. 4 over SBU's Leticia Luiz only a few moments later.

When play was halted, Missouri State was leading two of the remaining singles matches.
Cristina Flaquer had won the first set 7-5 at No. 1 and was about to begin the second and
Sandra Lukacova led the match 6-3, 5-0 at No. 5.

With the Bears winning their seventh match, head coach
Ellie Burger has matched her season win total with last season's.
