  • Friday night's contest marks the first-ever meeting between the Lady Bears and the Cowgirls.
  • The Lady Bears are fresh off a trip to the Paradise Jam tournament in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Missouri State went 1-2 with a 65-64 win over Gonzaga, before falling to (RV) Florida State and taking Texas Tech to the wire in a 69-72 loss.
  • Paige Rocca (Sr., Iowa City, Iowa) was named to the Paradise Jam All-Tournament Team after pacing Missouri State with 12.7 points/game and going 10-for-16 from beyond the arc. She shot 44% (12-27) from the field and averaged 4.0 rebounds across three games in paradise.
  • Missouri State has been extremely successful on its home court, boasting an 87-13 record in its last 100 home games. Under Beth Cunningham, the Lady Bears are 26-5 at home including a 1-0 record in Springfield this season.
  • Kaemyn Bekemeier (So., Republic, Mo.) has been a spark off the bench for the Lady Bears this season. She has scored at least 10 points in each of the last four games and in five of seven games on the season. Bekemeier is shooting 50% from the field (21-42) and from three (10-20), and she has been the first Lady Bear off the bench in every game this year.
  • MoState has had a balanced offensive attack this season with five Lady Bears averaging at least 9.0 points/game, including three in double figures. Four different Lady Bears have led Missouri State in scoring on the year and eight players have posted at least one game with 10+ points.
  • Missouri State ranks 25th nationally in three-point field goal percentage this season, shooting at a 38% (48-127) clip from beyond the arc.
  • Lacy Stokes (Sr., Mount Vernon, Mo.) has posted at least 10 points in 29 of her 40 career games at Missouri State. She is leading the Lady Bears in scoring this season with 13.1 points/game.
  • In the Cunningham era, Missouri State is 29-4 when scoring 70+ points, 33-1 when holding opponents to 65 points or less and 24-0 when opponents score less than 60 points.
  • Missouri State was picked to finish fifth in the MVC preseason poll for the second consecutive year. MSU finished third in the regular season a year ago with a 15-5 conference record. Stokes earned a spot on the preseason All-MVC first team after earning second-team honors a year ago, in addition to being named to the MVC All-Newcomer and All-Defensive teams.
