Cross-Checking the Bears

The Missouri State cross country team will compete at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships at 11:00 a.m. on Nov. 1.
Northern Iowa will play host for this year's 6-kilometer meet at the Pheasant ridge Golf Course in Cedar Falls.
The Bears will be sending the full nine runners they are allotted to compete in the meet.
Last season, the Bears placed fifth in the MVC out of the 12 teams competing with a total of 142 points. It marked MSU's highest finish since 2017.
The Bears were selected to finish fifth in the preseason poll and seventh in the prechampionship poll.
Last time out, the Bears placed 23^rd out of 32 teams at the Bradley Pink Classic.
MVC schools competed in the last two meets the Bears ran in. In both races, the Bears finished in the middle of the Valley schools.
Tabitha Fox has led the Bears across the line in the past two meets. Mary Margaret Harris was the first Bear in the first two meets of the year.
