Kreikemeier Honored by Valley After Tournament Win

Missouri State's Max Kreikemeier has been named Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week after his standout performance earlier this week at the Tunica National Intercollegiate.

The senior from Chesterfield, Mo. fired 70-67-68--205, 11-under-par at Tunica National Golf Club, to claim a three-stroke victory in the 71-player field. In the process, he tied the MSU record for best 54-hole score held by Carter Lee, who posted the same score at the Loyola Intercollegiate in February, 2022.

Kreikemeier, a two-time all-conference performer, currently sports a 71.04 scoring average and ranks second in the MVC. He and his Bear teammates will compete at the Valley Championship next Sunday thru Tuesday (Apr. 23-25) at Oakwood Country Club in Coal Valley, Ill.
