July 13, 2022

BLOIS, France -- Former Missouri State standout Keandre Cook is headed to France to continue his professional basketball career. The 25-year-old guard has signed a contract to join ADA Blois Basket 41 of the Betclick Elite ProA League for the 2022-23 season.

Blois is a small city with a population of about 45,000 located about 20 minutes via train from Paris.

Last year, Cook played professionally in Hungary, boasting 15.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.4 steals per game in a competitive A Division. He helped his Szedeak team to the division finals and later two games in the FIBA Europe Cup where he posted 17.0 points per outing.

After graduating from Missouri State in 2020, Cook spent time in the Charlotte Hornets camp before settling in with the Greensboro (N.C.) Swarm of the NBA G-League.

At Missouri State, Cook was a two-time All-MVC selection, earning second-team laurels at the conclusion of his senior season where he averaged 14.9 points per game. In 2019-20, Cook ranked sixth in The Valley in scoring average and fifth in 3-point shooting (.423). He also earned All-MVC third team honors and MVC All-Newcomer Team distinction in 2018-19 after racking up 12.8 points per game. The Baltimore native finished his two-year career at MSU with 904 points to rank (at the time) 35th in program history and 6th among two-year players in total points. His 119 career 3-pointers also ranked 10th on the Bears' career list at the time he graduated.

According to Eurobasket, there are 13 former Missouri State men's basketball players still active in professional basketball, including Alize Johnson who wrapped his fourth NBA season in April on a stint with the New Orleans Pelicans.
