ATLANTA – Chloe Tome of the Missouri State beach volleyball team was selected to the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association All-Academic Team, the league announced Wednesday.

Tome and Grace Cook lead Missouri State with a 22-4 record and have outscored opponents 1,135-808 while playing in the No. 2 flight this season. The duo's 22 wins are the most in program history and 17 of those victories have come courtesy of sweeps. Cook's 38 career wins rank second in program history.

To qualify, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.30 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale), completed four (4) semesters of college coursework OR 50% of progress towards degree, participated in 50 percent of the team's contests and have one year of residence at the institution (graduate transfers excluded).

The Beach Bears are back in action on Thursday when they take on No. 6 LSU at 11 a.m. during the first round of the CCSA Championship in Huntsville, Ala.
